Embracing Diversity: Creating Inclusive Research and Learning Environments
The course aims to enhance staff competencies for effectively working and teaching in a progressively diverse research and teaching environment within the university. The course is a blended learning course, with four modules where two are face-to-face workshops – see description of the modules here.
The course will be held in English.
In this course you will:
- Gain invaluable insights into inclusive teaching strategies
- Learn how to create inclusive and safe learning environments for all
- Explore how diversity can be used as a resource for bringing forward new perspectives and ideas for improving research and teaching
- Investigate the ways in which biases and personal identities can influence the teaching process.
Who can participate?
This course is for all academic staff at SUND and is free of charge.
Dates and location for face-to-face workshops
You can sign up for the following dates:
Module 3 workshop: choose between May 21st from 14-16 or May 22nd from 14-16. Room tba.
Module 4 workshop: choose between June 6th from 14-16 or June 7th from 14-16. Room tba.
Limitations
There must be a minimum of 12 participants registered for the workshop to be held.
There are maximum 20 seats available for each workshop.
